outdoors? Our fantastic Rock Climbing venue offers experience days, where we provide all the safety equipment and training you need for an exciting day of climbing on some of Victoria’s most
spectacular rock formations. You will be free to have fun all day, knowing that a certified, experienced, and very friendly rock-climbing guide is willing and able to handle all the safety aspects
for you. When you go Rock Climbing in Ashburton, you’ll be provided with all the equipment you need.

Indoor Learn to Lead – Gravity Worx
Run over the course of two evenings, the Indoor Learn to Lead experience provides 6 hours of teaching time. Both sessions must be attended to complete the course. Breaking down lead-climbing and belaying into small chunks, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge needed to ensure that you
master the process and improve your confidence. You need your own harness and rock shoes for this course, but everything else is provided. You’ll be joined by a qualified instructor throughout the experience.
Belayer Skills:
– Threading the belay device
– Partner checks
– Communication
– Hand position on the ropes
– ‘Spotting’ the climber
– Quickly taking, and giving rope
– Short-roping
– Watching for climber mistakes, providing feedback
– Catching leader falls (small to large)
– Feet position on the ground, on the wall
Climber skills:
– Knot tying
– Communication
– Partner Checks
– Clipping the rope (and common mistakes)
– …More clipping (it is harder than it looks)
– Taking a leader-fall (we start small, don’t worry!)
Gear: you need your own harness and rock shoes for this course, everything else is provided. If you do not have a harness, please let me know as I have three spares.
