Walk the Botanic Gardens

George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens are a close proximity to the Darwin CBD and should not be missed when visiting the city.
This 2-hour guided walking tour provides a comprehensive introduction to the 42 hectares of parkland gardens that are George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens. The pace is leisurely allowing time to enjoy the lush surroundings.
Along the way, your guide will point out the heritage features and legacies left by prominent Curators, as well as highlight a number of the significant trees, collections and plantings. It's a wonderful mix of history and plants, with the added possibility of sighting birds and seasonal flowers.

WWII Reflections Walk

19 February 1942. World War II reaches mainland Australia and the northern city of Darwin is bombed.
Move forward to today and join your knowledgeable guide who will take you back to that WWII era on a 2-hour walk through the historic quarter of the city. Hear your guide speak the stories of that fateful day as you meander past the historic buildings of the time, and which have been re-built to provide lasting memories of life in the north during the War. Enjoy the view over Darwin Harbour as your guide explains the importance of this area during WWII. Some of the infrastructure still exists today.

Enveloped within Parliament House is a Commemorative Wall honouring the Post Office and its staff who lost their lives in the first bombing raid and therefore no WWII tour of Darwin is complete without a visit. Your guide will escort you through the security screening point and into the Main Hall to view the Wall and Bombing of Darwin plaque.
Your tour ends at Parliament House where you may enjoy the exhibits of the NT Library (weekdays only), and a coffee from Speakers Corner Cafe (weekdays only).

View Government House, Parliament House and the Northern Territory Supreme Court on our journey through the streets of this modern tropical city.
There are many hidden treasures to see on foot and plenty of opportunities to capture photographs of the public artworks, architecture, historic buildings, tropical plants and wildlife.

Across the 2.5 hours you'll learn how today's street art rose from the New York City graffiti scene to the majestic murals that adorn city today. Along the way you'll hear stories of the artists who have participated in Darwin's four street art festivals and see a number of their magnificent artworks.
