Head out on your 2-hour excursion starting close to home and exploring the dramatic single drop waterfall of Magela Falls. Tracking South of Magela Falls, discover the remarkable variety of ecosystems of Kakadu National Park - Savannah Woodlands, Tidal Flats and majestic wetlands as you head towards the dramatic Arnhem Land Escarpment. The plateau’s edge has stood sentry over Kakadu’s lowlands for over 140 million years.
Flying past the once ancient sea, look ahead as you spot Double Falls! The unique two-tier cascade of the falls creates quite a spectacular site thundering over the escarpment.
Crossing through the twisting landscape you will be greeted by the full wet-season magnificence, of the prominent Jim Jim and Twin Falls. These falls are iconic to Kakadu National Park! These spectacular waterfalls send huge volumes of water crashing into the gorge below. Looping and exploring the falls on both the left and right sides, it's time to take a last glimpse as you move on to the next Falls!
Koolpin Gorge Falls is next on the list followed by the picturesque waterfall of Gunlom Falls!
Gunlom Falls is perhaps most famous for making an appearance in the movie - Crocodile Dundee! Its cascading waters and pristine plunge pool is some of the finest in Kakadu and is spectacular for photography!
