Hosted wine tastings for small groups between 1-8 pax are available 6 days a week (excluding Wednesday's) between 11am - 4pm.


We invite you to taste through our diverse and award-winning range of wines with our passionate, experienced staff. Or, simply take some time out to enjoy a glass of wine in our gorgeous courtyard garden where you will be able to soak up the stunning views of the Southern Mount Lofty Ranges. All Shottesbrooke wines are made in our winery, located onsite, uniquely situated right next door to our tasting room. So no matter where you are at Shottesbrooke, you're right where the action is!

From the Ground Up Tasting showcases wines from Shottesbrooke & McLaren Vale that compare varietal, versatility and vineyard characteristics. As we embark on a tour through the winery, guests will learn how the impact of soil, region, micro-climate and varietal expressions have on the finished product of a wine. For example, this tasting will highlight how varietals such as Grenache can be crafted as both a Rose style and a bold red wine, even when the fruit is from the same vineyard!

If you love tasting different wine styles and want to learn something new, then this is the tasting for you - no level of wine education is required, this tasting is purely for enjoyment!

The Pickers Hut is nestled within the peace and quiet of our vineyards and set alongside the McLaren Flat creek. Initially built to provide shelter and warmth to pruners in winter and a cool place to relax with morning tea during the warmer picking months, The Pickers Hut is now a place we offer to guests so they too can feel at home amongst the vines.

There is a $150 booking fee required to secure the Pickers Hut. $50 of your booking fee is redeemable in Shottesbrooke wine on the day of your booking. The remaining $100 booking fee is non-refundable. If a cancellation is made inside 24 hours prior to booking or if damage is caused to the hut, surrounds or the BBQ, there is a fee of $250 which will be charged to the guests credit card. The Pickers Hut can be booked only during Cellar Door hours (11am - 4.30pm). (The Pickers Hut cannot be booked on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day and Good Friday).
Please make sure to report to Cellar Door staff upon arrival. On the day of your booking a credit card must be left with staff in the Tasting Room to gain access to the keys for the hut. Keys must be returned to the Tasting Room by 4:15pm where staff will conduct a quick inspection of the Hut to ensure all is left as it was found, and the credit card will be returned post-inspection.
Due to liquor licensing restrictions, visitors ARE PROHIBITED from bringing their own alcohol onto the property for consumption. Shottesbrooke wine can be purchased from the Tasting Room during business hours and taken down to the Hut. Guests must also BYO glassware.

Covid restrictions will impact the number of guests allowed in the Hut at one time.

Beginning at Shottesbrooke Vineyards, you will be guided along a private winery tour to learn how we create our wines without using any animal products. To fully immerse yourself into the experience, you will be invited to taste wines straight from the tank and barrel to really see, feel and smell what makes our wines so unique.

After the tour, you will then be hosted to a wine tasting featuring a selection of our vegan-friendly wines in the comfort of our Cellar Door. Once your tasting has concluded, we’ll take a short 5-minute walk through our native wood lot where you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff at our award-winning restaurant, The Currant Shed. Here, you'll enjoy a three course vegan lunch, inspired by regional plant-based and seasonal produce, while being surrounded by our vineyards and Tahitian Lime grove.

Our unique ‘Explore, Wine & Dine’ experience is like no other. Be taken on a guided tour of discovery where you will learn about our winery’s rich history and how our sustainable winemaking practices are taking us from today into tomorrow.
This exciting tour takes you behind-the-scenes of our Estate property in McLaren Flat, where you'll be shown our 30+ year old vineyards, our purposeful and lively wood lots, the winery and all it's intricacies, as well as journeying through our beautiful barrel shed. Our winemakers and cellar team work all-year round to create our award-winning wines, so don't be shy to say hello as we pass them in the winery!
